Seeking God’s Guidance for Hope’s Next Chapter

Choosing a pastor is an important step in the life of a church. As Hope Church begins the search for a permanent pastor, we invite our church family to walk through this season together with prayer, patience, and care for one another.

During our November 1 service, Pastor Bob Levins shared that the search process has begun. A three-person committee has been formed to speak with people interested in serving as Hope’s permanent pastor. The committee will bring its recommendations to the congregation, and the congregation will make the decision.

Pastor Bob also reaffirmed his commitment to the interim role he accepted earlier this year. He explained that he will not participate in selecting his permanent successor. Updates will be shared with the church as the process moves forward.

A pastor’s role reaches beyond Sunday’s message. It includes teaching Scripture faithfully, caring for people through both joyful and difficult seasons, and helping a congregation grow in its relationship with Christ. As we pray for Hope’s next pastor, we can ask God for a leader whose character reflects humility, integrity, compassion, and a willingness to listen.

We can also pray that our church will be ready to welcome, encourage, and serve alongside that person.

For now, one meaningful way we can all participate is through prayer. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the committee, unity within our congregation, and the person who will eventually serve as Hope’s next pastor. Pray, too, that we will continue caring for one another and sharing Christ’s love with our neighbors throughout this season.

We are grateful to take this next step together as The Little Church With A Big Heart.
