November 1, 2026 Service Announcements

November 1, 2026 | Pastor Bob Levins

Men’s and women’s Bible studies: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 7 p.m. “This Wednesday” is resolved from the November 1 service. Meet in the sanctuary for shared worship and prayer, then separate into classrooms. New participants are welcome.

Saturday, November 21, 2026. This week’s stated goal is meals for 10 families. The church is not asking volunteers to pay for meals...just delivery. Delivery volunteers will bring food, share Christ’s love, and pray with recipients. Interested volunteers should see Pastor Steve.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: Boxes, labels, and packing instructions are available at church; approximately 36 boxes were mentioned. Participants may take one or more. Return filled boxes by Sunday, November 15, 2026, the speaker’s preferred return date. Shipping is planned for Monday, November 16. Questions see Elva and Barbara.

Special missions service and second offering: Sunday, November 15, 2026. Missionaries will introduce their work, including local and overseas ministry; an overseas missionary will provide a video. A second offering will support missionaries. At closing, Bob anticipates at least four guests, possibly five.

Church Christmas dinner: Saturday, December 12, 2026 in the fellowship hall. The speaker initially asks whether the date is Friday; the spoken correction to Saturday matches the calendar.

Permanent pastor search and prayer: The search has begun. A three-person committee will speak with interested candidates and bring the matter to the congregation, which will decide. Bob states that he will not participate in the selection process and will honor his interim commitment of six months to a year. Don is identified as a committee member.

Other church status notices: Bob reports that renovations, the website, and outreach development are progressing. He describes the website as approximately 80 percent complete and states that renovation work has not used church coffers or the building fund. He thanks Pastor Steve and Scott.

Missions: Hope and Clark are still raising funds needed for their missions journey.
